When work never really switches off

HOME  /  TECH PROFESSIONALS & HIGH ACHIEVERS

Online across Washington & PSYPACT states · English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese · Early mornings and afternoons (Pacific Time); times that work in Beijing and Taipei can be arranged · Private pay; superbill available for out-of-network reimbursement · Your employer is not involved · Openings mid-December

You may be doing well by every outside measure, and still feel stretched thin, on edge, or quietly unsure of yourself. I work with software engineers, engineering and product managers, data and AI scientists, researchers, designers, and other high achievers who want to understand what is happening beneath the pressure, not just push through it.

Burnout and the pace of the work

On-call weeks, shifting priorities, chronic stress, and re-orgs, layoffs, or job loss that unsettle a whole team.

Performance pressure

Reviews, performance-improvement plans, imposter feelings, and the quiet fear of not being enough.

Being heard

Speaking up in meetings, being passed over for leadership despite strong work, working across cultures.

Family and culture

Carrying family expectations while living by the rules of an American workplace.

Mind and body

When thinking harder no longer helps, and sleep, focus, or the body start signaling.

Time away from work

When clinically appropriate, I can provide documentation for FMLA, WA Paid Family & Medical Leave, and short- or long-term disability. See the FAQ

HOW I WORK

Many people in tech can already explain their patterns clearly, and still feel caught in them. Insight matters, but on its own it rarely changes how we feel or react under pressure. Together we look at the pattern beneath the stress, notice where it shows up in the body before it takes over, and build steadier ways to respond.

Mind

Understand the pattern beneath the pressure.

Body

Notice stress in the body before it takes over.

Hakomi

Brain

Build steadier ways to respond, grounded in neuroscience.

I’m a licensed psychologist (Washington; Taiwan), Jungian analyst, and certified Hakomi therapist, trained at Mount Sinai (New York), Barrow Neurological Institute, and National Taiwan University Hospital. Having trained and worked in both Taiwan and the US, I know the pull between high achievement, family expectations, and life across cultures. I also speak with tech teams in the US and Asia-Pacific about well-being in high-performance cultures. Read my full background

YOUR PRIVACY

Confidentiality

Therapy with me is separate from your workplace. Nothing is shared with your employer, and I share records only with your written permission. If you need documentation for medical leave, we can discuss it during the consultation.

Questions people ask

Do you see people outside Washington?

Yes, online in states that participate in PSYPACT. I’ll confirm your state during the consultation.

Is this therapy or coaching?

This is psychotherapy, which means we work with what’s beneath the stress and not only with performance goals. If you lead a team or company and want confidential consultation, see Executives.

Can I use my out-of-network benefits?

I’m private pay and can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

What if I’m on a performance plan right now?

That’s a common reason people reach out. We can focus first on steadying you, then on what you want to do next.

THE LIVING MANDALA

The circle holds the journey toward wholeness. Moon, mountains, water, and path evoke the inner landscape; leaves speak to growth and the living body. As the branches reach beyond the circle, they become neurons—where nature meets neuroscience. The circle evokes the Self: a wholeness larger than the conscious ego, already present yet continually unfolding, becoming more deeply known and lived along the way.
