Individual Therapy · Couples Counseling · Jungian Analysis · Online in English, Mandarin & Taiwanese

You might be carrying anxiety or burnout that won’t let up, a relationship caught in the same painful pattern, a loss or life change, or questions of identity between cultures. Or you may already understand your patterns well, yet still find yourself caught in them. Through individual and couples therapy and Jungian analysis, I offer a confidential space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and find a way forward that fits your life.

My approach

A whole-person approach

Mental health does not exist in isolation. Your emotions, body, brain health, beliefs, relationships, and cultural background are understood together, as one interconnected whole.

Bilingual and culturally responsive

Trained in both Taiwan and the United States, I offer sessions in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese (Minnan), with a lived understanding of Asian and Chinese family dynamics, immigration, and life across cultures.

Depth grounded in neuroscience

Deep experiential work, including Jungian analysis and a mindful body-centered approach, informed by clinical training at Mount Sinai in New York City and Barrow Neurological Institute.

Committed to ongoing growth

With more than 20 years of clinical practice, I keep an open, reflective practice, supported by ongoing professional consultation and my own inner work, including long-term Vipassana meditation.

MIND · BODY · BRAIN IN PRACTICE

Many people who come to me can already explain their patterns, and still feel stuck in them. Insight matters, but on its own it rarely changes how we feel, react, or relate. That is why my work brings together three ways of knowing.

Most sessions begin with conversation. The pace is yours, protective responses are respected rather than pushed through, and we always return to the room before we close.

Mind. Jungian analysis listens for the symbolic life of the psyche: dreams, inner figures, and the longer arc of becoming whole. Through active imagination, we can meet those images and let them speak.

Body. Hakomi, a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy, helps us notice how old beliefs about safety, worth, and closeness live on in breath, posture, and tension. In brief moments of mindfulness, we study what happens inside with curiosity rather than judgment, and make room for experiences that were missing when those patterns formed.

Brain. Neuroscience helps explain why this works. Mindfulness strengthens communication among the brain networks for imagination, attention, and inner awareness, so an image can arise while you stay present with it.

Session options

Individual therapy

50-minute sessions, usually weekly. We explore recurring patterns, emotions, and body experience, and integrate methods to fit your needs.

Couples therapy

75- or 90-minute sessions for couples, including intercultural, interracial, LGBTQ+, and bilingual couples, to understand each other’s patterns and find new ways to connect.

Jungian analysis

A longer-term process of individuation, working with dreams, symbols, and active imagination, usually one to two sessions a week.

RHYTHM & FLOW

Steady water shapes stone

A river does not carve its path in a single surge; it is the steady, unbroken flow that shapes stone and opens a way through. Inner change works the same way. A consistent rhythm lets deep work unfold and change accumulate, so I usually recommend at least one session a week, with flexibility for travel and time zones.

THE LIVING MANDALA

The circle holds the journey toward wholeness. Moon, mountains, water, and path evoke the inner landscape; leaves speak to growth and the living body. As the branches reach beyond the circle, they become neurons—where nature meets neuroscience. The circle evokes the Self: a wholeness larger than the conscious ego, already present yet continually unfolding, becoming more deeply known and lived along the way.
